We will be having a Thursday episode of the DPP this week. As a follow up to our discussion about the parameters underlying classifier languages from non-classifier languages and the discussion between Tang and Cheng and Sybesma about the "ClP Hypothesis", Dustin will be giving a practice talk for a CUNY Syntax Supper presentation. The claim is that there are observed head movement operations in the Bangla DP whose feeding and bleeding relationships show that there may be pre-Spellout head movement. Relevantly, Dustin assumes Tang (1990)'s 4-layer DP structure for classifier languages, which ends up being critical to the analysis.
