Dan Parker Department of Linguistics
dparker3 [at] umd [dot] edu |
I am a third-year PhD student in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Maryland. I
work in the Cognitive Neuroscience of Language Lab with Colin Phillips.
I am also pursuing a certificate in Cognitive Neuroscience through the Neuroscience
and Cognitive Science (NACS) Program. My research focuses on the cognitive processes that enable sentence comprehension. In particular, I am interested in how we
encode and navigate linguistic structure in real time. For more information, please visit my research page. Prior to coming to UMD, I received an MA in Linguistics from Eastern Michigan University, where I worked on syntax with T. Daniel Seely.
I was also a research assistant and programmer at The LINGUIST List. Before EMU, I received a BA in English Literature and Linguistics at
the University of Toledo. Email me at dparker3 [at] umd [dot] edu with any questions or comments, or to obtain supplemental materials (items, graphs, data analysis scripts, etc.).
