I am a faculty research assistant at the University of Maryland, managing the Cognitive Neuroscience of Language Laboratory.

My research addresses the relationship between theoretical grammar and cognition, focusing on what information is available during on line sentence processing, and how this information is utilized in making predictions.

I also work on the syntactic theory of ergative languages, case marking, and argument structure. I believe theoretical and experimental work should go hand in hand and benefit each other.
